How It Started …

From the first moment I stepped foot on an aeroplane with my mum when I was 3… to geekily buying my first compass jewel globe when I was in my teens… along with a birthday gift for my husband back in 2009 – a World Travel Guide which details every country in this world – I had a dream that I know deep down is perhaps near impossible to achieve in my lifetime.

To Physically Travel + See Every Country In This Beautiful World.

Although I’ll be the first to say ‘Nothing is Impossible’ {ok, Audrey Hepburn got there first:)} … I do think this is hugely over ambitious! My commitment to clients and family are absolute priority… and nor do I have endless amounts of money to fund it!

So, when I first began thinking about the design of my new blog header late 2011, it was weddings, this world and different cultures which inspired me. Then in the December I celebrated reaching my big 3.0 in New York {which was a most amazing present from my husband, Paul – he knows what I love the most – travel!} …

New York 2011

… this had then followed by a few days just before Christmas where my husband, little Pugsie-Girl and I, packed our cases {ok, hubs packed for Pugsie!} and we drove 5 1/2 hours to Loch Lomond, Scotland for a meeting with one of my Hong Kong wedding clients. Being surrounded by calmness, happiness and soaking in the beauty of the last two amazing places I have been fortunate to visit, I decided to begin writing up on this little project. This project that was once in my head is now known to me as Project Global Love.

So, What Exactly Is Project Global Love?

My aim is to travel via the world wide web to every Country and UK County through this little blog of mine and feature one wedding from every one of the 196 countries and 92 UK Counties in this magnificent place we call our world. I see the world as a beautiful place and we sometimes forget amid the chaos we are sometimes ploughed into during our everyday lives, just how stunning so many places are.

So, I hope with Global Love… not only do I manage to achieve a little dream of mine {even if not physically!} but to also share with you modern day love stories by the creativity of photographers and beautiful weddings from around the globe.

At the time of writing {08.01.2012} even I’m not sure whether this is a project a little out of my depth since technology isn’t as advanced in some other countries or with language barriers I could come up against – but I’ll give it a go! A girl has got to have goals and dreams right?:)

Submissions :

Although my aim is to travel around the Globe via the World of weddings personally, I am happy to take submissions too. However,  I will only feature weddings which I feel a connection with the wedding.

Project Global Love will consider taking submissions from bride and groom or photographers. Please check  in the first instance that the country or county of wedding location hasn’t already been featured – if it already has, I may consider to feature it under my Love Collection category. If the location hasn’t already been featured, please email 25 images of the wedding to with details of the wedding location, the name of the bride and groom, wedding month and year and a general paragraph of the details from style to any cultural elements we should know about. I will reply to your email within 7 days.
