Amy and Neil were married at the stunning St Mary’s Church in Nottinghamshire and after their service, they hosted their intimate reception at Holme Pierre Pont Hall. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy working for such an adorable couple who had such lovely family and friends, it was fantastic to work alongside this very lovely and fun photographer. She just has that magic touch in putting couples at ease, and having worked with Emma before, I know how stunning her photos are going be. I cannot wait to see them.

Holme Pierre Pont Hall is a local wedding venue to Carmen Weddings – the venue an early Tudor Manor house and the home to the Brackenbury family. A place with stunning gardens and the flowers are beginning to look gorgeous now. A girls gotta love pretty, pink blooms!

I’m very much looking forward to celebrating with my family with a delicious traditional home cooked Chinese New Year dinner {Mami’s cooking is the  best!} Chinese New Year is always a time when we get together and spend a little time at home, looking forward to what this brand new year may bring us…  I know whatever happens, this year will be more amazing than the last for us all : ) xx

Chinese New Year Card by Ananya Cards

Vicky and Chris approached me to help with their big day as there were lots of pretty little details for their wedding, guests traveled from afar and they knew that they wanted someone dedicated in looking after them as each and every vendor took care of what they are best at.

Vicky wore a most stunning Pronovias gown {my little photo here really does not do the gown any justice – please forgive me} … and on the morning of her wedding, Vicky and her family were so relaxed and enjoyed every moment at the Hunting Tower. And wow, what a view did I get as I walked up and down the spiral and steep stone steps, hanging onto the thick ropes as I walked up and down! Out of the little windows, I had the greatest pleasure in being able to view the magnificent Chatsworth Estate from such a height above.

The day flowed with ease and ran very smoothly… from the marriage service at St Peter’s Church right until late evening. There were lots of pretty details throughout and some of which the creative bride made herself, including this Seating Plan below which was  lovingly mounted on a vintage map.

So for now, while  I wait for the sweet couples professional wedding photographs to pop into my inbox, I hope you enjoyed my little captures from the day. I shall tell you more on each and every vendor and the people involved when I get the go ahead to post their pro photographs.

I would like to take this opportunity to share on my blog a big congratulations to a very sweet and funny couple. Vicky and Chris were not only a pleasure to work with, they had such a fab sense of humour too – our meetings were always so much fun! Thank you to you both again for having me!

But I do have a lot to tell you. First of all, since my last post… we have welcomed into our family, baby nephew Harry. He’s now 3 weeks old and is just the sweetest little one you could meet. Paul and I couldn’t wait too long when he was first born and at the grand old age of 3 hours… we had our first cuddle! Huge congratulations to my sweet sister and brother-in-law.

Congratulations Elisabeth + Mark!

Oh my, they really are one of the sweetest couples you could meet and when we very first met back in 2011, I knew instantly I would so look forward to their wedding day. Elisabeth and Mark tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony here in Derbyshire, and they had the most wonderful handmade and woodland style day. Elisabeth worked so hard in all the details, from outdoor floral arches, homemade jam favours, individual burnt names on tree slices for their guests… and so, so much more … I really cannot wait to see their photos! We did have a little catch up before they headed off on to their honeymoon – so a little wave from me in my office all the way to you both across the other side of the sunny world! More on Elisabeth and Mark’s wedding when we see their pro pics … I’m already very excited to see them too!

Wedding Gallery Update

If you remember, back in April I co-ordinated a very stylish wedding in Birmingham. Amy and Andy tied the knot at The Electric Cinema followed by Afternoon Tea at Hotel du Vin and a beautiful Evening Reception at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery… well, I’m delighted to say I’ve now updated my gallery page of their stunning day – An Intimate + Stylish Affair – go see… it’s a must.

Thrumpton Hall Design + Shoot

Without giving too much away right now, below are some shots I took of make-up artist Collette Thorpe and hair stylist Louise Ingman, working super hard behind the scenes at a recent shoot I worked on with a team of most fabulous and creative wedding peeps. It was a most pretty woodland shoot and having seen the final shots by Nottinghamshire based photographer Lee Garland, my sweet readers, I promise you, you are in for a treat. More to come soon!!

Queens Jubilee at Epsom Ladies Day

Well it sure does seem a lifetime ago since we celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee. Did you have fun celebrating this remarkable event? The media was full of amazing captures of what was taking place around the UK and I have to admit, I too had a great weekend starting at Epsom Ladies Day. A fun day with my husband and friends, we had a flutter on the horses, fantastic atmosphere, lovely food, all day champagne… and not forgetting our contribution to charity along the way.

Yesterday’s wedding was at the magnificent Sandon Hall for a very lovely couple who celebrated their day with family from all over the world. They were all so warm and welcoming and  it was such a pleasure to work for them. The weather was kind to the bride and groom and having been obsessed with checking the weather, I have to say, my iPhone forecast was… wrong! We were supposed to have sunshine until 3pm, followed by rain and I’m sure you can guess it… it was beautiful ALL DAY – Yes, that’s a big smiley face from me.

… last week I managed to capture this photo… just to prove we do get sunshine and warm temperatures here in the UK even if it is a little too rare! My daily doggie walk was bliss that day.

Lunch At The Inn + Rainbow Drops For A Wedding?

I was in Stafford for the church rehearsal and stopped by at The Dog & Doublet Inn for a bite to eat {great food I must add} and sunk myself into a big comfy armchair next to the window. There’s something so cute about looking through the little panes of glass! Do call by for food and pretty views if you’re ever in Sandon… I will certainly be going back in the near future.

The week has been about final preps for yesterday’s wedding and for me, most of it was spent on final-final confirmations… and my office weeks normally mean having lots of snacks around… Rainbow Drops being one of them! … What a colourful and pretty colour palette for a wedding it is! {yes, snacks can gives me inspiration too!}

Girlfriends + My Girlie

Here’s me with one of my girlfriends – P is my cousin and a very close friend. We’ve grown up together, we’ve travelled together, partied, laughed and cried together… oh, and have had sushi competitions… but after all these years, she did eventually move to Hong Kong to be with the love of her life.  She came back to England late last year for some family time but on Saturday it was time for to pack her suitcase and jump on board for her 12 hours flight  back to her 2nd home. I always miss this girlfriend but if love has to take you elsewhere, there is no denying it’s got to be done – we have mobiles, Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype if we need! See you again very soon sweet lady.

And yes… just another of my girlie. Just a random lazy shot of her which made me smile this week!
