Design-a-Board : White Elegance

white elegance wedding design

This is a classic white wedding with a modern twist. Pureness, elegance and timeless is what I think of whenever I think of white weddings.  I love a country white wedding, in particular to marquee celebrations. A white wedding has always portrayed pureness and love and they are truly beautiful. Although I designed this with spring and summer in my mind, it too can work perfectly for a winter’s wedding. A white wedding may seem a simple and easy colour palette to work with but without texture and a little interest to the design, it may seem little thought has been put in. Wow it up by adding different shapes to centrepieces, white wooden letters,  white and well made desserts or sweets and chocolate. Add interest to your wedding cake by having simple white detailing, like flowers. As white come in many shades, be careful to not choose items that may be too off-white or even cream; this can make some items look dirty against the items that are a pure brilliant white. Paying particular attention to table linen, napkins, chairs {or chair covers} and of course your bridal gown.  If you have your heart set on a venue that doesnt have white walls or ceilings like a marquee does, you could consider hiring drapes for the ceiling. (But do check with venue first to gain permission} or even have uplighters for the evening to change the room colour… Carms x
