Bo-San + Dharmesh : Chinese-Hindu Fusion Wedding Film

I knew when I saw this from Shaun of Beautiful Life, I wouldn’t hesitate for one moment in sharing with you and posting it onto  smitten.  Watching this gave me goose bumps and all the Chinese and Hindu wedding details are amazing.  This is a complete feast on the eyes; the colours, the wedding attire, the fusion of the two cultures and union of the two families.

Bo-San and Dharmesh’s wedding was held at the beautiful Woburn Abbey Sculpture Gallery. Bride and groom wore several wedding outfits to truly celebrate their big day in their way… with Hindu rituals such as knot tying and the sacred fire, then for the Chinese traditions; the Chinese Tea Ceremony and Lion Dancers too!

To the beautiful couple, Bo-San and Dharmesh : Congratulations on your marriage, wishing you both a beautiful and wonderful life together.

Big thank you to Shaun of Beautiful Life for sharing such a wonderful and inspiring wedding with us.

Now over to you; to both new and faithful readers of smitten … sit back, relax and enjoy the wedding highlights…

Dear all,

This video film is very inspiring.

Would you please let me know where to get the Chinese traditional red dress “Kao” from for the tea ceremony in the UK? Also, who did the Hanna for the bride? She looked stunning.

Many thanks.

Best,
Shan

Hi Shan,

I have to agree that Beautiful Life do amazing wedding films and they are all totally inspiring – I’m pleased you enjoyed it.

With my time in making wedding contacts and researching the UK- Chinese wedding industry, we have very little choice for purchasing a traditional Kwa/Kao here. Many Chinese brides in UK tend to travel to HK to purchase. If that is not an option for you, do email me direct and I’ll try and assist you with further details. Unfortunately I do not have the details of the lady who did the henna for the bride as this video was sent to me by Beautiful Life and I was not directly involved with this particular wedding.

For anyone else reading, I have considered a Kwa rental option in the UK along with Carmen Weddings wedding planning – would any readers feel this may be a benefit to UK brides?

Thank you
