When Two Become One : Chinese Ismaili-Muslim Wedding : Debbie + Ayaz

My eyes are truly dancing with this gorgeous wedding over at Wedding Nouveau… a culture inspired wedding captured byPalaez Photography. Debbie the bride is Chinese and groom Ayaz is Ismaili-Muslim. Being the true Chinese bride that Debbie is… she had a total of four dresses and of course the Chinese Tea Ceremony.

Anyone who knows me will know how much I adore Chinese parasols… and Debbie is looking a true model bride under her red one. A red umbrella or pretty parasol is a must for a Chinese bride.

One of my favourite shots ~ elegantly capturing two cultures in one. Debbie wore a traditional Chinese Kwa ~ for anyone who has never seen a Kwa, they are a heavily embellished traditional wedding gown.  A jacket and long skirt that simply breathes elegance.
