Shall we over indulge and get totally smitten today?! Oh yes! Choosing the photographs to have on Smitten By Weddings was just a little too hard… especially when it came to Part IV of Jamie and Tony’s wedding reception {sadly, the last part of their wedding day} Their overly stylish wedding, co-ordinated by Debbie Chang from Circle Ten Events… is totally fun and relaxed… all photographed by someone who Jamie and Tony calls ‘Amazing’ … this person is Judy Tran… Jamie and Tony adds ‘We love our wedding photos!’… So here we begin… right at Prince Seafood Restaurant in Cerritos, CA.
Their Solution to Fusion “We pretty much just wanted to have a really good party in light of everything I went through and us both finding one another. We wanted to honor both our heritages and I think we did a great job of that. I ended up naming all the tables as different cities in Japan and China and there were little things like our Samurai and Chinese girl cake topper and magnet favors, chocolate dipped fortune cookies, etc. But outside of that just letting loose and enjoying everyone’s company was key”
No Mistake with Cake ”We wanted to have cherry blossoms incorporated somehow in our cake since it was Cherry Blossom season in Japan, the same time we got married in April and we were going to honeymoon in Japan following the wedding”
Cake by Kings Hawaiian Bakery
Isn’t this just the sweetest cake topper?
Friends & Family with Me and My Honey “We had 180 guests at the wedding and about half of them all came down from Salinas (approx 5 1/2 hour drive) to attend the wedding. The rest were local to the area”
… what a fun bunch … an entrance to make a lasting impression…
First Dance & Romance “Our first dance was to Spandau Ballet’s “True”. Tony and I are both the same age (33) so we had to represent the 80′s somehow and that song always gets me”
Don’t Forget to Mention the Children “We also had quite a few kids in attendance so to keep them occupied so that their parents could enjoy themselves. Tony and I made little goodie bags for the kids complete with snacks, coloring book, stickers, crayons and a little toy for them to play with. We heard that they were a hit with kids and parents so I really think it’s a great idea to have something for kids when you know they’ll be in attendance”
No Chinese wedding would be complete without some fun games… so here goes, Jamie sat on Tony for his push ups! Go Tony!
We’re Keen On Cuisine “We decided to go with the traditional 10-course Chinese dinner. We got rave reviews on the food which was a relief cause we had a mixed bag of guests attend our wedding”
Advice from the Bride “I would say anything goes. Do what is unique to you as a couple and keep in sight the fact that you are marrying your best friend. All my vendors were referrals from friends or based on reviews on wedding websites like weddingbee.comor weddingwire.com. I would also not get so tied up in the details. Whether the ribbon is from a local craft store or imported from France, no one will notice but you, so don’t exhaust yourself on having everything perfect. Also I 100% believe in hiring a day of coordinator if you can afford it. She was awesome and if there were any problems on the day of I never knew of it and she kept everything running on time”
Jamie and Tony ~ Thank you for letting me share your amazing Chinese ~ Japanese inspired wedding… full of fun, emotions and laughter. I wish you both all the happiness in the World and thank you for being so awesome … Jamie and Tony… lots of hugs to you both. xox
Judy Tran ~ Thank you for the incredible images… you are just fab! xox
Personal thank you’s from Jamie and Tony - “As well as the fab cake designer and dress maker, we also had a great DJ, Jack Hou, owner of Tmmpro…. Judy Tran our photographer ~ we can’t say enough about her professionalism and passion for what she does. All of my vendors were awesome”

What amazing photos.
What strikes me aside from all the lovely touches, beautiful cake, gorgeous bride and wedding dress is how HAPPY and relaxed they look.
I love the photo of Jamie sat on Tony’s back and Jamie looks like shes having a great time! Also the photo of all the men with the shots looks great!
I just hope I look as natural and beautiful on my wedding day! Great choice of first dance too!!
