Perfection at The Manor Somerset

Perfect. I really don’t think there’s a better word to describe The Manor Somerset.

Just two weeks ago I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful private country mansion and was greeted by the welcoming owners and their two adorable Newfoundland furry friends, Bently and Charlie Brown; I have never ever in my entire life met such big gentle giants!

I really couldn’t be more in love with The Manor itself. Lush grounds, a peaceful estate – this is an interesting and unique privately owned venue which dates back to  the 13th century. It’s luxurious, it’s sophisticated and it’s every little corner is filled with warmth and romance.

My stay wasn’t going to be complete without me walking away with a few snapshots, especially of the two very cuddly and fluffy brothers…

All the bedrooms looked so comfortable and my room for the evening was one in the West Wing… and wow, the bath was just stunning! I couldn’t wait to sink into it filled with scented bubbles of course. Bliss.

I love the amazing Lake House. A dream and homely space in which I could very easily stay long term! But dreaming aside, how perfect is this for a wedding? An exclusive, private venue {in fact, it doesn’t seem right calling it a venue since it’s so welcoming and it feels more like a second home}… with the idyllic Lake House just steps away; tucked away behind the outdoor pool and rose garden.

My little snapshots really doesn’t do it any justice, so I can’t wait to be sharing these beautiful captures with you. And as you know, I adore details – I could feel and see so much attention and care has been put into The Manor, it’s hard not to instantly fall in love…

The Banquet Hall is the heart of The Manor – it was so comfortable and inviting as we settled for a delicious meal which was freshly prepared by their talented, Michelin quality chef. Every course has clearly been carefully thought through and was simply mouth-watering . It was obvious to me that excellent cuisine is very much high priority to the owners and delivered in impeccable style.

Slowly taking in every space around The Manor I could see exactly why the wedding of Editor of Hello magazine London was hosted at The Manor Somerset; it’s like a hidden gem.

I’m forever inspired by history and exquisite spaces but I do also love the small touches of high quality from today, so imagine my delight when The Manor not only serve fantastic cuisine which is locally sourced but with stunning roll top baths, BVLGARI toiletries and wonderful entertainment systems, it’s faultless in every way.

This really felt like home from home yet still oozes complete luxury…

A huge thank you to ‘The Knight’ for hosting such a wonderful day and for welcoming us into The Manor.
