Pin It Forward UK ~ My Daily Love!

Pin It Forward UK - Weddings

I was recently invited to the Pinterest ‘Pin It Forward UK’ launch and sadly I couldn’t make it due to a wedding rehearsal – which went very well by the way đŸ™‚ but it was a big boo that I couldn’t attend. For those who were there, you certainly looked like you had a blast!

So, when I was asked whether I’d like to be a part of their ‘Pin It Forward’ campaign… I was like ‘Oh Yes!’

Why would I not join in on such fun and of course shout about one of my faaaavourite sites that there is today. Pinterest has become a part of my daily routine. Almost an addiction. A little like that cuppa I just have to have every morning before I could even function – actually I sometimes drink my morning cuppa while scrolling through Pinterest on my iPhone.

So I’m going to explain how I use it, what it does for me and I hope you will see exactly how easy it is to pin. I don’t think it will be long before you become obsessed too!

Pinterest for Carmen Weddings

I started pinning around April 2011 and there’s never been a dull moment on there from day one. In fact, sometimes I’ve spent so much time looking at spreadsheets, I use Pinterest as my little way of escape {only to find I’ve escaped for a little longer than intended. whoops!} So each day, I call by and see what others have pinned – it’s great to see what the current trends are and see what others are pinning. The best thing is, I see pins which are relevant to me and if I want to see details such as the complete blog post, who it was photographed by, who had created the flowers – I just click on the image and it takes me to it’s source. So easy!

There are several ways on what I do on Pinterest for Carmen Weddings.

Firstly it’s where I gather inspiration, obsessions and wisdom. I have carefully built boards in a way which helps to inspire brides, for couples I’m planning weddings for and for industry friends who are perhaps searching for ideas.

I do like to break it down as much as I can so it’s an ease to find what you want and need for a wedding, plus I aim to have my boards in the order of a love story! Such as Je’Taime is filled with pretty engagements, then we move onto Pretty Paper for stationery {the first thing a guest receives}… Aisle Style for the ceremony – which is the first part of your day… and so on.

I love how I can build visually stunning design boards with ease for clients and it’s especially useful for the couples who live overseas – we can pin at different times of the day and we can instantly see them. We can comment as we go along plus add {or Pin should I say!} and delete as we go. A completed board is just like a full design board without having to cut out any images from those precious magazines.

For the actual weddings I’ve planned or co-ordinated, I will pin a selection on my Carmen Weddings board

One of the favourite boards I have is Detail Desire. It’s where I pin pretty details and styling – something all brides want to see. There’s some serious heart fluttering pins right there. I promise : )

Pinterest for Me!

I’m totally smitten with using Pinterest for my own personal loves too. How can I resist not pinning such cuties onto my Pug + Kisses board?! As you know, I’m head over heels in love with my very own sweet little puggie pooch but when I stumble across other pugs too, I can’t resist saving them onto this board filled with cuteness.

Some of the other things I like to pin include fashion onto Style Crush and different interiors for different rooms. Take a peek and you’ll see what I mean! If you’re not already on Pinterest – you can join right away here – Pinterest

… and tomorrow Aspirational Bride will be sharing with us about Pin It Forward UK too! Check out her boards here.

Have a fabulous day Pinning! xoxo
