Inspired by their love for history, the brides’ roots and her elegant style, Yaxin & David’s wedding was filled with Chinoiserie touches at the history filled stately home – Castle Howard. Yaxin’s from China, David from the South of England and they met while studying at University. Although currently living in The USA, they always knew their heart was set on marrying in England; in a county which holds many wonderful memories to them both.
Together with their family and friends from all over the world, their intimate day began on a misty June morning. As the fire was lit in the Great Hall for the ceremony, the sound of strings began to echo along the corridors in one of the worlds most spectacular venues.
No words can describe just how magnificent Castle Howard truly is.
Peonies, the national flower of China, plus the most exquisite David Austin Roses took centre stage to the bridal bouquet and table setting in the Long Gallery. Chinese hand held fans as gifts for their guests as a reminder of the delightful art which originates from the country. And to complement the venue, antique gold goblets and vintage trays were the choice in creating a most breath-taking setting for dinner.
When the sun began to set on that late summers evening, guests were mesmerised with the natural beauty across the rolling Howardian Hills.
As evening reception commenced, guests joined bride & groom on the dance floor until late – celebrating one of the most beautiful days in a most wonderful place the world has to offer.
