A road trip for ♥ in Scotland

This week there has been no wedding planning and I have been rather quiet on here and for one very good reason… my family along with my husband and I were invited to the wedding of my cousin Simon to his beautiful wife, Lynsey. So before I carry on, a little message for Simon and Lynsey:

‘Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful day and a very big congratulations to you both. May you have a very happy and long life together.

It was absolutely lovely to attend as guest and enjoy every moment of their wedding. We left Derbyshire and took the long but lovely drive to Scotland and on the Chinese lucky date 08th of the 08th, we witnessed their marriage at the House for an Art Lover. {One very stunning venue designed by famous Scottish architect; Charles Rennie Macintosh in 1901} I would certainly recommend House for an Art Loverto brides and grooms looking for a chic venue in Scotland.

A day filled with emotions {I was incredibly emotional from the moment I saw the gorgeous bride – I get worse as I get older!} and their Humanist Ceremony was  really more than beautiful. The sun was shining,  the groom and the boys all dressed in Kilts {I have now mastered how to dress boys in Kilts properly and in the right order!} the fabulous sound of bagpipes, amazing speeches, lovely wedding breakfast and followed by an evening of great music and dance. I particularly loved the Gay Gordon and Loch Lomond dance. You could just see everyone enjoying every moment of their big day.

A few days later, they had a lovely Chinese Banquet wedding in China Town, Glasgow. Lynsey in her stunning Kwa {traditional Chinese wedding dress}, bridesmaids in their gold Qipao and we were treated to a tasty banquet with so many courses that I lost count! I had the pleasure of giving tea to the bride and groom for every elder they served tea to for their Chinese  Wedding Tea Ceremony Their two wedding days truly celebrated who they are and you can feel the immense happiness as they were surrounded by their loving family and friends… and now, I am very excited to see their professional wedding photographs! … Carms x
